Craig Schiller is an information security professional that has worked in the computer industry for the last 25 years
For fifteen of those years, he worked as an information security professional. He has built an information security capability from near the ground up for 4 corporations.
He is known and respected in the security industry as the principal author of first publicly distributed version of the Generally accepted System Security Principles.
During his four years as senior engineer of NASA Mission Operations AIS Security Engineering Team, he founded and organized the Technology for Information Security conference for NASA Mission Operations
A strong supporter of the Information Systems Security Association (ISSA), he co-founded two ISSA chapters (in Houston, Texas and Wichita, Kansas).
Mr Schiller is a volunteer Police Reserve Specialist for the Hillsboro Police Department. He is the organizer of volunteers for their Police to Business program. For this work he was recently
featured in two articles in the Argus, the Hillsboro newspaper.
He represented information security professionals at President Clinton's Information Highway town meetings on Security in Washington, DC
and has given presentations at security conferences such as the National Computer Security Conference, the Computer Security Institute, and the ISSA conference.
From 1997-98 and again in 2001 he ran a security consulting business.
Mr. Schiller earned his Bachelor's Degree in Music Education from Wichita State University. He has been professionally trained in course development and delivery.
